Your Issues Are Almost Here!
Hello out there in cyberspace!
In the past, I've viewed January as kinda the pits- I mean, no more Christmas get-togethers, the happy buzz of New Years has faded and suddenly it's time to get back to work and put the old schnozolla to the grindstone.
But January 2009? It's been one hectic, crazy, somewhat-fun-in-a-maschostic-kinda-way week. I know what you're thinking- "Why, El Queso Grande, why has the past week been nuttier than a Snickers bar?"
Then there's the fact that promos have been bouncing all over the information superhighway. We rolled out the first trailer where you can get a glimpse of some of the action to come (poor Zeke really has NO idea what he's in for). And what else…there's something else…
…oh yeah, that's right. ISSUES DEBUTS ON WEDNESDAY!
That's right- it's all coming together now. Seven episodes. Ten minutes of glorious high def video. Comedy. Action. Intrigue. And FREE! Every two weeks, you'll see a new Issues right here, starting off with Episode 1: Year One (Day One). We hope to hear from you- issuestheseries@gmail.com is the best way to drop off feedback, or find us on Twitter (issuestheseries of course!).
If you're a resident of the tri-state area, you may have caught us in the media! We've been featured on New Jersey 101.5 and 92.7 FM, as well as a feature article in the Asbury Park Press. And who out there in the wide world is watching the adventures of the Comic Relief Crew? Well, according to our reports, we have been viewed in US, Palestine, Thailand, Australia, Austria, Japan, India, China, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Norway, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Grenada, Israel, Russia, Mexico- not to mention 34 states!
We're on facebook, twitter, myspace and spreading the wacky word as much as we can. And the best part? It's going to be VERY easy to get involved and meet the gang.
ISSUES: THE SERIES is going to New York ComicCon! That's right true believers- February 6th-8th at the Javits Center in New York City, the cast and crew of Issues will have a booth and giving out goodies! So if you're a comic book fan like many of us here at HQ are, this is going to be one heck of a party.
I should know- the last day of the Con is my birthday. Can't get much luckier than that! So we hope you'll tune in, show up, drop lines, visit the booths, keep your New Years Resolution and, well, enjoy the show!

Meet Mack and Edgar
Hello there true believers,
Things have been busy busy busy here at Issues HQ. If you've been following our promos, you know they've been rolling out with a vengeance. If you haven't stopped by the main page yet, be sure to give a visit and meet the enigmatic (and maybe slightly crazy) shelver Mack, as well as Edgar (the silent enforcer), and Bobby (Leslie's partner in management). Mack is currently featured on the front page. You can find Edgar and Bobby by watching Mack's spot and working back, or by visiting them on the past releases page. Tomorrow get ready to meet the man that is our window into this crazy world - Zeke. After that, we'll premier our official trailer on Friday, and by Wednesday, January 7th, your Issues will be here!
I'd also like to introduce you to Denise Barbarita. Without her help, Issue would not be as far along as it is. Denise has very graciously agreed to step in around what are very tight deadlines to help us score our trailer, as well as the first episode of the series. She is an incredibly talented composer. I encourage all of you to stop by her website and check out her wonderful music. You can find it, as well as information about her discs and tours at her website.
There is a lot of big news on the horizon. Be sure to check often to make sure you're up to date with your Issues! Once our episodes begin, they will release every two weeks on Wednesday afternoon.
Promos, Photos & More
Well, it's been a busy few weeks here at Issues HQ. If you've been keeping up with our releases, you've already met Leslie, the neurotic store manager. But Leslie can't run the store alone. (Jackson alone would have done him in long ago.) So now it's time to meet the store's other manager - Bobby. As Leslie points out, Bobby is a bit attached to the flask at her side. But Bobby watches out for her employees, and is certainly fun to be around. You'll be seeing a lot more of her soon. There are only three people left to meet. Your Issues are getting closer.
We also have some new production photos up, introducing some of the other faces that you can expect to see around the store. We'd like to thank Melisa, Chris, Rich, Morty, and Robin for working with us. It was a lot of fun, and we hope to have you back! You can also catch your first glimpse of the mysterious customer known only as Ennis (or N.S.).
Things are moving rapidly here at HQ. We have three more promos to roll out for you, and then the formal trailer, so you have an idea of what you're getting yourselves into. We'll have another update for you before the holidays hit, and we'll keep updating right on through! If you've been in the path of the snowstorm that has been moving through the northern half of the United States, we hope that you are warm and safe. Have a good weekend, everyone!
